In a significant boost to infrastructure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated key development projects worth over Rs 10,000 crore in Kerala, marking a new chapter in the state's growth. The projects span various sectors, emphasizing the central government's commitment to enhancing regional infrastructure.
Among the notable developments, Modi laid the foundation for a Rs 5,500 crore Polypropylene unit at the Kochi Refinery by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). The prime minister also unveiled two major highway projects, each exceeding Rs 2,000 crore, aimed at improving road connectivity in the state.
Additionally, the prime minister dedicated several railway initiatives, including a new train service and the redevelopment of three railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Modernized facilities, improved passenger amenities, and better accessibility mark these developments, reflecting the government's focus on sustainable transport and connectivity.
