On Wednesday, two drones fell near Dubai International Airport (DXB), injuring four individuals, according to Dubai's media office. This incident is part of ongoing infrastructure attacks during the Iran crisis, impacting global air traffic.
The media office confirmed the attack on social media platform X, stating air traffic operations remain unaffected. The attacked resulted in minor injuries to two Ghanaian nationals and one Bangladeshi national, with one Indian national suffering moderate injuries.
The U.S.-Israel war against Iran continues to disrupt airline operations worldwide, leading to flight cancellations and an energy crisis causing fuel prices to spike. UAE airlines such as Emirates and Etihad, while resuming some flights since February, still operate below capacity. The attack renews challenges for DXB, a pivotal hub handling nearly 100 million passengers last year.
