Noida International Airport to Transform Global Connectivity with Green Innovations

Noida International Airport is on track to significantly enhance connectivity for the National Capital Region and beyond. CEO Christoph Schnellmann recently handed over the aerodrome licence to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, highlighting key developmental milestones for the greenfield project in Jewar.

The airport, a major public-private partnership initiative, is progressing towards its inaugural phase. The first phase includes a runway and terminal capable of managing 12 million passengers annually. It boasts state-of-the-art technology such as biometric processing, self-baggage drops, and digital passenger systems for seamless travel experiences.

With sustainability at its core, the airport aims for net-zero emissions, implementing solar energy, rainwater harvesting, and electric vehicle infrastructure. As the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security reviews its aerodrome security program, the airport gears up for full operational capacity, including extensive cargo facilities.
