India Strengthens LPG Supply, Ensures Fuel Stability Amid Global Fluctuations

The government has decided to extend the booking period for LPG gas cylinders from 21 to 25 days to curtail hoarding and black marketing, according to official sources. This change addresses growing concerns about frequent bookings, with some consumers previously booking cylinders every 15 days.
In addition, the government has instructed refineries to boost LPG production and prioritize domestic consumers over commercial connections. "Domestic consumers will always be a priority," officials stated, while revealing that countries such as Algeria, Australia, Canada, and Norway have offered to sell LPG to India.
On the topic of fuel prices, sources indicated that petrol and diesel prices are expected to remain stable as long as crude oil prices do not surpass USD 130 per barrel. With considerable reserves, the country is prepared to manage potential shortages, aided by diversified sourcing routes apart from the traditional Strait of Hormuz.
