In a peculiar Holi celebration incident, six individuals were arrested for illicit transportation of an areca nut tree trunk tied to a suburban train, railway officials reported.
The video that surfaced on social media depicted the tree trunk blocking several train doors while traveling from Virar to Mahim, leading to action by Mumbai railway authorities.
The long-standing custom, said to date back to the British era, halted train services for 20 minutes. Accusations under the Railways Act have been filed against those responsible for this disruption.
