Middle East Airspace Crisis: Limited Flights Resume Amid Conflict

Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, major airlines Emirates, flydubai, and Etihad Airways are cautiously resuming flights to repatriate stranded travelers. The move comes as airspace closures across the region, triggered by Iranian conflict, have left airports such as Dubai and Doha non-operational.

The United Arab Emirates' civil aviation authority is initiating 'special flights' to facilitate the evacuation of tens of thousands of stranded passengers. Dubai Airports confirmed a limited number of flights from both Dubai International (DXB) and Al Maktoum International (DWC), following minor damages sustained during retaliatory attacks.

Etihad Airways remains vigilant, operating repositioning and cargo flights with UAE authorities' strict safety approvals. Although regular commercial flights in and out of Abu Dhabi remain suspended, select flights, including a Lufthansa A380 repositioning to Munich, are underway with no passengers onboard.
