In a strong rebuttal, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, labeling him as 'immature' and lacking any real understanding of economic matters. Goyal accused the opposition of spreading misinformation due to a lack of constructive agenda against the Modi government.
Discussing the Union Budget in Mumbai, Goyal claimed instabilities within the Congress have been highlighted by their misinformation strategies, particularly concerning India's agricultural and textile sectors. He emphasized India's growing textile export market, pointing to significant reductions in US tariffs as a game-changer in global trade.
Goyal further rebutted criticism regarding the Indo-US trade deal, asserting the positive outcomes for India's textile and cotton industries. With exports set to rise under new trade agreements, India stands in a competitive position against global players like China and Vietnam.
