A Shillong-bound IndiGo aircraft was grounded at Kolkata airport on Saturday following a potential bomb threat. A handwritten note, discovered inside the lavatory by a crew member, claimed a bomb was on board.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) confirmed that the alert was sounded before the passengers boarded flight 6E 7304. In adherence to standard operating procedures, the aircraft was moved to an isolation bay as a precautionary step.

A comprehensive search of the aircraft was carried out, however, authorities reported that nothing suspicious was found. The AAI assured that all necessary safety protocols were being followed closely to ensure the security of both passengers and crew.
