India Diversifies Crude Oil Sources Amid US-Russia Controversy

India has made clear its intention to maintain a diverse range of crude oil suppliers, ensuring stability in its energy supply chain amidst a global controversy surrounding its imports from Russia. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri underscored national interests as the guiding force behind this strategy.

Speaking at a press conference, Misri stated that India's procurement strategy focuses on adequate availability, fair pricing, and reliable supply. He pointedly noted that India does not rely on any single source, emphasizing the necessity of a varied procurement mix in response to changing market conditions.
