SOKA, the chemical manufacturing unit of FMCG conglomerate RSPL Group, has announced plans to double soda ash production at its Gujarat-based facility to one million tonnes per annum, following recent environmental clearance approval.

The expansion will not only increase the plant's production capacity but is also projected to create approximately 2,000 new jobs in the region. SOKA aims to enhance its output to 750,000 tonnes within the next two years, further cementing its status as a leading soda ash producer.

CEO Tinku Chhabra highlighted the plant's role in supporting the 'Make in India' initiative, stressing its contribution to the domestic industrial ecosystem and clean energy goals. The facility, operational since 2019, also supports key sectors like detergents, glass, textiles, and chemicals with exports to nearly 50 countries.
