Keshav Laxminarayana Patkar has been appointed as the Additional Director (Non-Executive, Independent) of Banganga Paper Industries, soon to be renamed Asgard Alcobev. With nearly 30 years in the brewing and consumer goods industry, Patkar brings a wealth of experience to this new role.
The company announced its strategic focus on exploring emerging opportunities in the alcoholic beverages segment. Patkar, a Master Brewer and PhD holder, has successfully led brewing and innovation initiatives for renowned companies such as SABMiller and AB InBev. His expertise includes localizing iconic global brands like Budweiser, Corona, Hoegaarden, and Peroni, as well as developing Indian craft and premium offerings.
In a significant move, Banganga Paper Industries has acquired a controlling 78.9 percent stake in CMJ Breweries, a prominent contract brewing facility in the Northeast. This facility has substantial capacity and supplies to major Indian and international beer brands, including Kingfisher, Carlsberg, Tuborg, and Asia 72.
