Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd has announced a significant order from Indonesian state-owned firm, Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, for 35,000 Scorpio Pik Up light commercial vehicles. This substantial deal is aimed at bolstering rural logistics in Indonesia, with delivery set for 2026.

The vehicles will serve the Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih (KDKMP) project, enhancing logistics for newly formed cooperatives. This initiative is designed to improve the flow of fresh produce from farmers to local markets, effectively bridging the gap between producers and consumers.

According to Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of Mahindra's Automotive Division, this partnership is expected to match the company's total export volumes from FY25, significantly boosting its international operations. The Scorpio Pik Ups, tailored for challenging rural conditions, are manufactured at Mahindra's Nashik Plant.
