Exit gates at Udyog Bhawan and Central Secretariat metro stations facing Rafi Marg will be closed for four hours on January 28 and 29, according to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The closure is part of security measures for the Beating Retreat Ceremony.
The gates will remain closed from 2 pm to 6 pm. Commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advance and heed station announcements throughout the temporary closure, as noted in a DMRC post on X.
Enhanced security checks are being implemented at all metro stations until January 29, urging passengers to allocate additional travel time and maintain discipline when queuing, ensuring a seamless commute. Furthermore, Delhi Traffic Police have announced traffic restrictions in central Delhi during ceremonial rehearsals, effective from 4 pm to 6 pm on January 28.
