Speaking at a startup camp in Jammu, Singh emphasized the nation's journey from just 350-400 startups a few years ago to its current robust standing, reflecting immense progress and accomplishment. He highlighted the emergence of Doda as the birthplace of the purple revolution, marking a significant milestone in the Startup India initiative.

The minister underscored the increasing role of agriculture and non-metropolitan contributions in the startup domain, breaking traditional associations with IT and metropolitan dominance. He also praised the growing influence of women entrepreneurs, who now lead a substantial portion of these startups, illustrating a shift towards inclusive growth.
