In a disturbing incident aboard a Lufthansa flight from Chicago to Germany, a 28-year-old Indian national allegedly attacked two teenagers using a metal fork, American authorities reported.
The flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Boston Logan International Airport due to the turbulence caused by this assault. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts confirmed the incident in a press release.
According to legal documents, Praneeth Kumar Usiripalli is accused of stabbing a 17-year-old male passenger in the shoulder and another 17-year-old male in the back of the head, resulting in a head laceration. Usiripalli faces charges in the U.S. District Court, with potential penalties including up to a decade in prison.
