The Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) encountered significant operational disruptions on Tuesday due to a technical glitch, compelling the bourse to delay trading by over four hours and relocate operations to its disaster recovery site.
MCX reported that despite the operational hiccup, all trading systems have resumed normal functionality. An expedited investigation to determine the root cause of the issue has been launched, with the exchange pledging to implement corrective measures and update stakeholders in due course.
The technical fault not only delayed trading activity but also posed challenges for market participants. With previous similar disruptions in July and February, MCX shares fell on both the BSE and NSE following the incident.
